Ingredients
- ½ medium cantaloupe
- 8 thin slices prosciutto
- 16 fresh mozzarella pearls
- 16 small fresh basil leaves
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Balsamic glaze, optional
- 16 small appetizer skewers or cocktail picks
Instructions
- Scoop the cantaloupe into balls using a melon baller, or cut it into approximately 1-inch cubes.
- Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise and gently fold each piece into a small bundle.
- Thread one piece of cantaloupe, one folded piece of prosciutto, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella pearl onto each skewer.
- Arrange the skewers on a serving platter and finish with freshly ground black pepper.
- Just before serving, drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze, if desired.
Make-Ahead Tip
Assemble the skewers up to four hours in advance. Cover and refrigerate, then add the black pepper and balsamic glaze just before serving.
