Meet Fred Murchison, Sr. Mortgage Banker at Real Genius.
Fred and I met while volunteering at our kids’ school. We sat together interviewing students who were competing in the Amazing Shake, a competition where community leaders in different industries help teach students about professional skills for success. Shortly after meeting Fred, I asked him to help my husband and I refinance our home. The entire transaction was seamless, and I noticed that Fred was extremely responsive to all my communications. Having had the pleasure of his assistance, I wanted to pass his name along.
Fred has worked as a mortgage originator since 2001. A local Charlotte native, he received a bachelor’s degree in economics from NC State and his MBA from UNC Charlotte. Fred works with clients around the country. Real Genius is licensed in over 35 states providing home mortgages, as well as refinancing.
“The thing I like most about being a mortgage loan officer is having conversations with borrowers about different options and answering any questions they may have. I pride myself in my responsiveness and being able to simplify things for borrowers,” says Fred.
“Mortgage rates have come down significantly over the past two years,” he continues. “As a result, we are currently refinancing a lot of borrowers who have purchased their home in the past 2-3 years. We can currently offer a 30 year fixed rate loan below 6% with little to no lender fees”.
“A refinance can help a borrower lower their monthly payment, shorten their mortgage term, or take cash out for investment, home improvement, or bill consolidation. We’re a small company, but most of our employees have at least 15 years of mortgage experience,” Fred added.
